USA - National Marrow Donor Program

National Marrow Donor Program

Americans can join the National Marrow Donor Program Registry. Depending where you live, there may be a cost to join the registry for Americans. Here are the steps to follow to get registered:

  1. Start with this page on the the National Marrow Donor Program web site. There are two different ways to join:
    • Have them send you a kit and do a cheek swab at home.
    • Join in person by visiting your local donor center
There is information on both of these options including any applicable costs on the NMDP web site.
  2. Send in your cheek swab or join in person. Congratulations, you are now on the registry!

Be proud that you are a bone marrow donor. Ask a friend to join too. Let us know you joined by adding your name to our "I joined the Registry" list.
